Heirloom tomatoes are old varieties with a long history, mostly grown by small-scale producers. They embody authenticity and are not bred for yield or shelf life, but for flavour. Each tomato is unique in shape, colour and size. Their variety ranges from deep red to yellow and green, and even almost black.
They all impress with their flavour. Their aroma is more intense, sweeter and more complex than that of conventional tomatoes. Fruity, almost spicy notes make them a true seasonal treat, available only in summer.
