Even before they applied, they had all come along for at least two taster sessions with us. That gave us the chance to see whether and how well we’d get on together. Two of the new apprentices had already worked for us as temporary staff and impressed us with their dedication. They wanted to complete their apprenticeship with us.
Given the high level of commitment and motivation shown by all the strong applicants across the board, we decided to create additional apprenticeship places. After all, we are happy to give this opportunity to committed young people who specifically want to complete their vocational training with us.
In doing so, we are also putting into practice the philosophy behind our ‘Top Training Company – Level 2’ award. We are committed to high-quality vocational training and, in doing so, are helping to tackle the shortage of skilled workers. And applicants like these motivate us to support young people on their journey into the hotel and catering industry.
