We offer various rooms for events for two to 1,300 people. 

Our package rates are available from the following number of guests:

  • Meeting packages: 1 to 14 people
  • Seminar packages: from 10 people
  • Separate stand-up lunch: from 25 people
  • Lunch packages: from 25 people
  • Drinks reception packages: from 15 people
  • Stand-up dinner packages: from 25 people
  • Raclette packages: from 50 people
  • Barbecue packages: from 50 people 
  • Dinner packages: from 25 people
  • Chinese fondue packages: from 25 to 100 people

We can organise a completely private culinary event for groups of 15 or more. Smaller groups can enjoy an aperitif and dinner at our Giardino Restaurant & Bar.

The forum terrace on the fifth floor can be rented exclusively for your event for a flat-rate provision fee of CHF 500.00. This terrace can accommodate up to 200 people. 

On the sixth floor is the panorama terrace, which can also be booked exclusively for events. This terrace can accommodate up to 150 people.

When you book the Panorama 7 or Meridiano room, the terrace area outside the room is automatically included. 

In summer and winter, the panorama terrace is occupied by the rooftop pop-up restaurants. 

If you book the Kursaal arena, you can use the forum square. This can accommodate up to 150 people (including lounge furniture). 

We provide the following power connections for a fee: 

  • T13 230 V 13 A at CHF 30.00
  • T13 230 V 13 A with multiple sockets CH standard at CHF 40.00
  • T15 230 V 13 A at CHF 40.00
  • T25 230 V 13 A at CHF 50.00
  • CEE 16 3 x 400 V 16 A at CHF 100.00
  • CEE 32 3 x 400 V 32 at CHF 120.00

No, we are not able to provide you with a personalised Wi-Fi login. We provide public Wi-Fi with download and upload speeds of 100 Mbps. At your request, we can provide instructions for the Wi-Fi at events. 

Yes, it is possible to exhibit a car in the exhibition area of the Kursaal Bern. The floor has a maximum load capacity of 250 kg per m2 and a maximum rolling load capacity of up to 1,000 kg.

Yes, that is possible. Parties are generally permitted in the Kursaal Bern but it is important that you consult with the Event Manager. You must also respect the following times, depending on the day of the week: 

  • Monday to Thursday: until 11.30 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: until 3:30 a.m.
  • Sunday: until 10.00 p.m. 

We will be happy to provide you with standard furniture such as bar tables, armchairs, tables, chairs and lounge seating. We can consult external partners for additional furniture by arrangement. The event team will be happy to advise you. 

The room is only available for set-up or take-down if you have reserved it in advance. Set-up and take-down times will be charged accordingly based on the time required. 

Yes, you may use an external technology provider for your event. However, our preferred in-house technology partner, Habegger AG, will be happy to provide a tailor-made quotation for your event.

The Kursaal Bern is partially accessible. We have wheelchair-accessible parking spaces and rooms in the Swissôtel Kursaal Bern, stepless indoor and outdoor walkways, lifts with raised lettering and wheelchair-accessible toilets.

Food & Drink

It is possible to bring your own wine to an event. However, we charge a corkage fee: 

  • CHF 35.00/7.5 dl bottle
  • CHF 60.00/magnum bottle

No, it is not possible to arrange catering through an external service provider. 

We offer you the following options as alternatives to water in PET bottles:

  • Tap water in a carafe (1 litre) at CHF 8.00
  • Tap water in a glass dispenser (8 litres) at CHF 64.00 
  • Tap water in a glass dispenser (20 litres) at CHF 160.00

We also offer a water dispenser with spring water in 19-litre reusable bottles upon request. Price on request.

Food trucks are permitted in outdoor areas (forum terrace and forum square), but only after consultation with the Kursaal Bern (including door dimensions and floor load). You also need to clarify your electricity requirements and the allocation of the existing catering space in advance. 

Yes, this is possible. However, certain details must be included on a voucher:

  • T&C: Vouchers are only valid on this occasion/day
  • Silver strip/water mark
  • Consecutive numbering
  • Value (amount/equivalent value)

The vouchers are commissioned by you as the organiser and the Kursaal Bern must be notified of the total number of vouchers issued in advance. The costs are borne by you. 

Your employees can eat in the MESA (the Kursaal Bern's staff canteen) for CHF 30.00 including drinks (flat rate per day). 

Alternatively, we offer a pasta buffet for 15 or more people. Seasonal salads, a pasta dish and a seasonal dessert in a glass are available for CHF 30.00 per person.
