We took advantage of the summer months to modernise our Garten and Atrium rooms. Warm, soft colours, lots of wood, materials that complement the Giardino Restaurant & Bar – this is how the Garten rooms have been redesigned. The fact that the basic infrastructure and technology have been modernised is not visible, but it is quickly noticeable every time the areas are used.
A year ago, we turned one of the Garten rooms into a showroom. ‘The response from guests was overwhelmingly positive,’ says Isabel Niklaus, COO of the Kursaal Bern Congress Centre. She is convinced that it is always worthwhile to create a showroom. ‘On this basis, we have optimised a few minor details that will benefit our guests.’
The new Garten rooms live up to their name not only through their access to the garden, but also visually with their sage-coloured paintwork. Overall, the rooms offer an inviting and inspiring atmosphere.

The Atrium rooms were also plastered, painted and refurbished. They now appear more airy and fresh. The colour palette remains pastel, calm and relaxed. The magnetic board surface has made flipcharts and pinboards redundant. This gives the rooms a tidy, straightforward and uncluttered look. ‘So that wild ideas have room to breathe,’ says Isabel Niklaus with a wink. The rooms impress with their focused atmosphere, ideal for workshops and meetings. Modern, hybrid conference technology is simply part of the package here – at no extra cost, just like the refreshment buffet in front of the rooms.
