Eagles of Death Metal
Eagles of Death Metal is a rock band founded in Palm Desert, California, in 1998 by childhood friends Jesse Hughes and Joshua Homme. Despite their name, the band does not play death metal; the name is meant humorously. Musically, the group combines garage rock with blues and classic rock elements. Frontman Hughes is known for his expressive stage presence.

Eagles of Death Metal have released four studio albums to date: Peace Love Death Metal (2004), Death By Sexy (2006), Heart On (2008) and Zipper Down (2015). The project first attracted attention in 1998 with contributions to The Desert Sessions. The band toured internationally in the following years. In 2019, Eagles of Death Metal Present Boots Electric Performing The Best Songs We Never Wrote was released as a cover album. Another studio album has been announced for 2025.
On 13 November 2015, the band was playing at the Bataclan in Paris when a terrorist attack took place during the concert. A few weeks later, the band returned to the stage and continued their European tour under the title "Nos Amis". In 2017, the HBO documentary Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis (Our Friends) was released about the events and their consequences.
In addition to numerous tours in the USA, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, the band has also been involved in film projects, including the music for Super Troopers 2.
