Rooftop Grill

Rain is not a problem for us and the reservation remains valid. Our roof terrace is equipped with an electric awning that can be extended for protection in the event of rain or strong sunlight. This makes us one of the few rooftop restaurants where your planned visit is not dependent on the weather.

There is a minimum consumption for an exclusive event, you will not be charged a rental fee.
Sunday and Monday: CHF 8,000
Tuesday to Thursday: CHF 10,000
Friday and Saturday: CHF 14,000

The Rooftop Grill is located on the roof terrace of the Kursaal Bern and is divided into two areas: In the lounge (the bar area), you can enjoy all the drinks on the drinks menu on cosy lounge furniture and order delicacies from the snack menu. Perfect for a spontaneous visit for an after-work beer, sundowner or aperitif. It is not possible to make a reservation here. Just drop by and we'll be sure to find a place for you. Perfect for after work and aperitifs: the lounge opens at 16:00 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Our tables for your evening meal are located in the restaurant area. Choose your barbecue speciality from the varied menu and watch the city in the light of the sunset. Reservations for your dinner are possible and recommended.

You will find a declaration of allergens next to each dish on our menu. Our trained staff are also on hand to answer any questions you may have.

If you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, you will find a large selection of vegan main courses, a vegan burger, vegan loaded fries and salads.

From the main entrance of the Kursaal Bern and from the entrance on Schänzlistrasse, signs will lead you to the Rooftop Grill. At the end of the panorama path you will find the stairs or the lift that will take you to the sixth floor.

Yes, there is barrier-free access to the Rooftop Grill.

For barrier-free access, please use the main entrance on Kornhausstrasse opposite the tram station and report to reception. The staff there will show you the barrier-free route to the Rooftop Grill.

The entrance on Schänzlistrasse and the signposted route to the Rooftop Grill are not barrier-free. There are a few steps on the panorama path.
