Friday evening
After arriving at the Swissôtel Kursaal Bern, you can relax in your room and enjoy the unique view of Bern and the Alps, followed by Mediterranean delicacies at the Giardino Restaurant & Bar. In the evening, enjoy a stroll through the illuminated Old City – just a few minutes' walk from the hotel – or a visit to our own Grand Casino Kursaal Bern.
Saturday
Start the day with our varied breakfast buffet and then explore the capital. Shop below the famous arcades and visit the Zytglogge clock tower and the Federal Palace, where you can find out more about Switzerland's political history. Bern is a compact city and you can easily reach everything on foot. You can also use the bus and tram in Bern for free. As a guest at the Swissôtel Kursaal Bern, you will receive a Bern ticket at our reception for public transport around the city.
Weather permitting, a picnic in the rose garden is the perfect way to spend the afternoon. This wonderfully tranquil location offers a spectacular view over the city and boasts more than 200 species of roses.
Sunday
Sunday is the perfect day for a ride to the top of the Gurten, Bern's local mountain. There you will find hiking trails and, in good weather, a magnificent panoramic view. Back in the city, you still have time to stroll along the Aare or visit one of the many museums, such as the Bernisches Historisches Museum or the Paul Klee Centre.
